ABOUT

 Janeth Almendares is an artist based and born in Boston, Massachusetts. She often travels and photographs Honduras where her family is from. As the sole artist in her home she explores her family dynamics by using photography. Capturing intimate moments and events was allowing her to become an active participant in moments where she would usually sit and observe. She received the Gertrude Kasebier Bosworth Prize in 2024 and She is currently studying photography at Massachusetts College of Art of Design.
